Path to professorship

Expertise forged through practice

From Lower Silesian shallow mines to professorship.

“The true nature of energy resources is revealed where the ground offers the greatest resistance.”

My path to academic titles did not lead solely through university corridors. I began in Lower Silesia, doing manual work in demanding and hazardous shallow mine workings. That direct contact with matter, resources and risk sparked my passion for process engineering and energy.

This experience taught me respect for the laws of physics and persistence in seeking solutions. Today, every solution in fluid mechanics, renewable energy or fuel gasification is grounded in industrial reality and developed towards practical application.

Engineering excellence

Technology built on process understanding.

The scientific expertise spans energy, agriculture and environmental protection — always with validation and implementation in mind.

01

Fluid mechanics and hydrodynamics

Modelling transport phenomena, gas flows through porous media and gas-permeability research.

02

Renewable energy sources

Biogas and biomethane production technologies and improved energy efficiency in agriculture and rural areas.

03

Gasification and fuel processing

Syngas installations, hard- and brown-coal processing, and solutions supporting the circular economy.

04

AI in innovation

Artificial intelligence for sustainable agriculture, data analysis and process optimisation.

Risk and budget management

Research managed as a project, not an open-ended experiment.

PRINCE2 structures R&D through stages, decisions, responsibilities and measurable outcomes. It does not remove technology risk, but it makes that risk manageable.

Industry and investors

Stages, budget, quality criteria and milestones.

EU funding

Formal transparency, timeliness and performance-indicator control.

Research consortia

Coordination of complex tasks and technology development across TRL levels.

Innovation recognised by industry

Results that go beyond the laboratory.

2026

Candidate for the “Golden Engineer” title

Presented by Przegląd Techniczny in a competition recognising engineering creators and implementation achievements.

Implementation

Award of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development

Joint development and implementation, with the team, of an innovative mobile prosumer agricultural micro-biogas plant.
